On 23rd May 2024, Zeeve’s Co-founder and CEO, Dr. Ravi Chamaria, discussed DeSci and the future of decentralized healthcare with the Founder and CEO of Rymedi, David Stefanich, and the Vice President of business development at Ava Labs, John Nahas. Here is a short summary of the discussion.
The conversation started with David introducing Rymedi as a platform that manages patient and population data in a highly compliant ecosystem. He shared more details on the specifics of the multi-region compliant system. Then John introduced himself and Ava Labs as a service provider for the Avalanche Foundation.
Dr Ravi found it fascinating. He shared that four years ago, Zeeve was working with many permissioned protocols. Two years ago, he found the Avalanche subnet, which motivated Zeeve to enter the appchain space.
The healthcare vertical has yet to see Web3 adoption as much as other areas; hence, Dr Ravi was curious about the challenges there and what David thought of them.
David gave examples of how Rymedi is reshaping the industry with efficient clinical trials, maintaining compliance in four regions, and lowering costs.
Avalanche is a massive ecosystem. Dr Ravi, therefore, wanted to know where John sees healthcare from the adoption standpoint. John attributed credit to David for using Avalanche and bringing a lot of use cases on-chain. He pointed out the initial skepticism of the healthcare industry. Then, he shared extensive details on how it was a monumental task.
John added that Ava Labs has seen that the blockchain is the special part, the infrastructure layer, the technology tools that enable new innovation; it’s not the highlight; it’s the backbone.
Dr Ravi applauded the splendid job Rymedi has done navigating tech in the real world. David then appreciated Zeeve’s help with providing the blockchain infrastructure and mentioned different sides of the DeSci market that look promising.
The exciting updates coming to Avalanche were discussed afterward—notably, public-permissionless chains. John appreciated the phenomenal job Zeeve has done with Rymedi to bridge the technological gap as a blockchain management service provider.
Dr Ravi affirmed that there’s a transparent barrier to entry that a few of Zeeve’s customers are concerned about. He also added that, from his experience with Zeeve, working with all the available technology stacks, the Avalanche stack is the most mature. You can practically deploy a subnet in a few minutes on Zeeve, which is not currently possible with any other stack to launch production-grade appchain infrastructure.
