On 6th July 2023, Zeeve held a Twitter space hosted by Karthik MS, Social Media Manager of Zeeve., where Kritika Ravichandran, Founder of Partnr, has been invited to join the discussion on “Blockchain: Enabling Top Quality Recruitment 100x Faster.”
Karthik started the session by announcing an upcoming event called the Web3Titans, which will be held in four different cities in India, showcasing products and value propositions to investors and enthusiasts in the blockchain space.
The first question posed by Karthik to Kritika is about blockchain technology and its application in the recruitment process. Kritika discusses how blockchain can streamline candidate verification by providing a universal ledger for recording and attesting data, eliminating the need for manual verification and background checks.
Kritika further explains how blockchain can improve efficiency and speed in talent acquisition by leveraging consensus mechanisms, such as those used in Ethereum and Bitcoin, to ensure high-quality and fast hiring processes.
The next question discussed was how to leverage the consensus route. Answering this, Kritika reveals that they are building their own consensus mechanism, “proof of skill.”
She explains that Partnr focuses on the competence to deliver work as their core metric for hiring top talent. She aims to remove noise from the hiring process and provide a tool for validators to evaluate and validate skills.
The conversation also touches upon the use of smart contracts in revolutionizing the hiring process. Kritika explains that automation, smart contracts, and AI can be combined to manage initial offer letters, employment agreements, and dispute resolution seamlessly.
Karthik then posed a question on hiring top talent using blockchain technology. Kritika emphasizes the importance of focusing on competence to deliver work. She mentions building the Stereograph Network, a tool for validators, and their long-term goal of making it a public network.
Karthik and Kritika discuss the future of decentralization and its impact on talent management. They explore the possibilities of government involvement, co-ownership, and the formation of decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs).
Kritika believes that consensus mechanisms and decentralization can bring a 100x advantage in the hiring process. She also mentions the potential for a digital jurisdiction or network state to emerge.
Finally, with the rise of DAOs, they discussed how blockchain could Empower self-governing talent communities and disrupt traditional hierarchical models in talent management.
Kritika mentions that at Partnr, they are actively exploring the potential of DAOs in transforming the talent management landscape. Their focus is on co-ownership, and the competence to deliver work aligns well with the principles of decentralization and self-governance.
While they are still in the early stages of implementation, Kritika envisions a future where talent communities can thrive within DAO structures, enabling individuals to have greater control over their careers and fostering a more inclusive and collaborative talent ecosystem.
