ETHDenver 2024 wrapped up, and if there’s one thing that stood out this year, it was the shift in energy. The chaos of past years made way for deeper, more intentional conversations—less noise, more focus. The weak hands have left the room, and those who are still here are doubling down, regrouping, and building with even greater conviction.
For Zeeve, this year’s ETHDenver wasn’t just about showing up—it was about reconnecting with our ecosystem, strengthening partnerships, and diving into the conversations that are shaping the next phase of rollups, appchains, and decentralized infrastructure. From catching up with our partners at Optimism, LayerZero, Base, Offchain Labs, Privado ID, Polygon, Okto, and more, to meeting teams pushing the boundaries of what’s next, the energy was real. Here are some of our key observations on where we might be heading:
- AI and DePIN were everywhere. Every other project had a decentralized AI, confidential computing, or trusted execution angle—signaling a clear shift in what the next wave of builders is prioritizing.
- Governance minimization also seems to be gaining ground, with teams rethinking how on-chain coordination should work in a world that demands more autonomy and less overhead. Avalanche’s new L1s could be builders’ favourite here.
- The PayFi narrative is heating up too. With AI models needing seamless financial rails, the push for better payment solutions in Web3 is stronger than ever.
- Rollups, of course, remain the beating heart of Ethereum’s scaling, and Arbitrum’s or ZKsync’s role as a liquidity layer for Ethereum is opening up new possibilities for how Orbit or Elastic chains can tap into deeper liquidity without friction.
- Turns out, interoperability wasn’t immune to modularization either. The conversations at ETHDenver made one thing clear—modular interoperability protocols will be key to solving cross-chain inefficiencies at scale.
As for us? We’re more convinced than ever that rollups and appchains need better infrastructure to scale, and that’s exactly what we’re here to solve. ETHDenver was a reminder of why we do what we do—because in the right rooms, with the right people, ideas don’t just stay ideas. They turn into the next big thing. If we missed catching up in Denver, let’s not wait until the next big event. Drop us a message on our Telegram community and let’s keep building.
