RuneVM is designed to bring cutting-edge ZK Rollups innovation to Bitcoin, unleashing its potential to the fullest, thereby fostering development of future-proof DeFi use cases on the network. The new Layer2 chain will serve as a modular ZK Stack Hyperchain, launched and managed by Zeeve RaaS. Mainnet for the chain is expected to be live by the end of Q4, 2024. The network will introduce a dual-token economy, using native BTC as gas and $RUNEVM as utility token. The ZK Stack chain will be dedicated to DeFi applications that are seeking to build on the Bitcoin network without encountering the legacy challenges of scaling, interoperability, and high gas cost. This means that startups, enterprises, and independent web3 projects can now build confidently on Bitcoin while benefiting from Zk Stack’s hyper scalability, extremely low fees, and cross-chain connectivity.
