Decentralised
database platform
Corda is an authenticated open-source, distributed peer to peer network with the benefits of decentralisation while still ensuring that businesses remain in control over their data. It utilises the U.T.X.O. model similar to that of bitcoin and has a flow framework.
Nodes
Corda’s participating nodes, called Corda nodes connect with each other with a line of direct communication. In addition, there are service nodes like notary, identity nodes, service mapping nodes and oracle services with specific functionalities.
Consensus
Despite being a blockchain network, Corda runs on notary clusters. Corda allows multiple pluggable notaries that run simultaneously using miscellaneous consensus algorithms, including byzantine fault-tolerant algorithms within a single interoperable network.
